This is an exciting opportunity for a postgraduate researcher to join the LSHTM team of the MOMENTUM Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obsetrics (MSSFPO) project to work on a multi-country collaborative project regarding routine documentation and audit for caesarean section births.  

The post holder will be part of the   Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology & International Health, and the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health.

The candidate should have a obstetric background with clinical experience in multiple-geographies. Ideally, the candidate would have relevant clinical and epidemiological research experience in using, researching and/or designing evidence-based clinical medical records.  The post-holder will be line managed by Dr Louise Tina Day, being part of a team working on MSSFPO.

The post is available on part-time basis at 20% FTE and fixed-term for 6 months with possibility for extension depending on funding available. It is funded by the MSSFPO project and is available from 1 February 2024.

The salary will be on the Academic Pathway scale Grade 6 in the range £43,947- £49,908 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
