Research Engineer,Chemical&Bioprocess Engineering

Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Research Engineer within School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering

The successful candidate will work on a collaborative project investigated the potential uses of green Hydrogen in Ireland generated from a renewable energy park.

The role involves techno-economic modelling of hydrogen transporting and storage. Along with an investigation into blending hydrogen into the distribution and transmision natural gas network in the locality.

This position will be part of a wider team research other aspects of using hydrogen and the natural gas network for the transition to a carbon free energy system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of interim and final reports

This position would be suitable for someone who is considering pursuing a PhD in energy systems.

Fixed salary: €27,109 per annum
