Job Description
Research Associate Position in genome editing lab

The CRISPR and Genome Editing Lab led by Assistant Professor HU Chunyi, is a dynamic addition to the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore. Currently, we are in search of a dedicated Research Associate to contribute to a research project focused on the study of CRISPR-Cas immunity systems and the development of genome editing tools.

We invite applications from highly motivated individuals with a background and/or keen interest in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Exceptional laboratory skills are a prerequisite and demonstrated experience in molecular/microbiology would be highly advantageous. The position entails active participation within our multidisciplinary research team, which is dedicated to advancing knowledge in biochemistry and cell biology.

The successful candidate will be a key member of ongoing research projects and will be expected to engage in ad-hoc research activities. Join us in the exciting journey of exploration and innovation at the forefront of CRISPR and genome editing research.

Qualifications / Discipline

  • Candidate should hold or is going to obtain a Master's Degree in one of the disciplines below: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biophysics (Structural Biology), Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related fields.

Skills

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Very highly motivated and independent.
  • Organized, dedicated and reliable.
  • Critical thinking and scientific achievement in research, exemplified by publications, conference presentations, or patents.
