Aston Business School is a Triple Accredited University (Equis, AACSB and AMBA) and is one of the leading Universities in the UK for academic research, excellent teaching and business engagement.  In the most recent REF we received 100% for Research Impact. We pride ourselves on a thriving research culture, convenient location and, we experience strong demand from well-qualified students for a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience courses. Approximately 80% of our students complete a 12 month industrial placement and we are only one of three UK institutions with the Small Business Charter Gold Award.

The Marketing and Strategy Group contributes to this success significantly, and the Strategy area is an important component of the Business School’s success story. Strategy researchers within the Group regularly publish in high profile journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management and Organisation Studies. They also have a strong presence in international conferences such as the one organised annually by the Academy of Management. The Group is also the home for a successful MSc programme in Strategy and International Business that attracts high quality students from a number of countries.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Strategy who can help the Group and the wider business school build on this success. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has a doctorate in the broad area of Strategy, and a publication record in refereed national and international journals. We may consider outstanding candidates who are close to completion of their PhD, if they demonstrate potential, in particular by way of a publication record in quality refereed national and international journals. As such, a publication record in international journals will be considered an advantage.

In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate experience or potential for effective and innovative teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
