Aston Business School is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Alumni Relations team as an Alumni Relations Officer. You will be responsible for engaging with the Business School's graduates across the world and developing relationships with key alumni to create a network of volunteers who will support the School’s missions.

Over the past 10 years Aston Business School (ABS) has delivered a dedicated Alumni Relations Programme for graduates of Aston Business School, part of the College of Business and Social Sciences (BSS). During this time, our small Alumni Relations team has built an engaged alumni community and has worked with many former students who are keen to be involved in supporting our current students and building the reputation of Aston Business School on a global scale. The team specialises in working with our Postgraduate and MBA alumni and is well embedded within the College and University.

The Alumni Relations Officer will support Aston Business School’s Alumni Relations Manager in the delivery of our Alumni Relations Programme and will play a pivotal part in the building of sustainable mutually beneficial relationships with our stakeholders. It is a highly collaborative role, and will work closely with colleagues across the University, including the wider Alumni Relations and Development team, Marketing, Programme Offices, Careers and Placements and academic departments.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging professional, who can demonstrate experience in relationship building, volunteer management, event/project management, marketing or another related field. The ability to work well as part of a team is also essential, as is a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

The post is full-time and the nature of the job means that occasionally there are events outside the normal working week for which time off in lieu will be given.

Anonymous shortlisting will be carried out for this role as part of Aston University’s commitment to equality and diversity and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to recruitment. Personal details that are included on application forms, including the candidate’s name and address will not be disclosed to the shortlisting panel. We kindly ask that candidates do not send CVs or cover letters as these will not be considered.
