Aston University’s Centre for English Language and Communication (CELCA) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Pre-sessional Programme Director to lead and enhance its BALEAP-accredited suite of Pre-sessional Programmes. You will work within an experienced, committed and supportive team in a Centre which delivers pre-sessional and in-sessional provision to international students and shares expertise in English language and intercultural communication with the wider University. 

You will have substantial experience in leading English for Academic Purposes programmes of study, particularly Pre-sessional Programmes. You will also have significant experience in curriculum, materials and assessment design, as well as in teaching EAP to students from different backgrounds and at different levels. 

You will hold a postgraduate degree in an area related to English language such as TESOL, EAP or Applied Linguistics, and you will possess a relevant teaching qualification. You will be a problem solver, a team player and you will value critical reflection on professional practice.
