We are seeking to appoint two full-time Programme Coordinators to join the Undergraduate Programme Team at Imperial College Business School. For the right candidates, these roles present an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing area of the Business School. Annually, the Undergraduate suite of programmes delivers teaching to close to 2000 students from across Imperial College and beyond. We are seeking two talented and motivated individuals to join our professional, busy, and friendly team, to help deliver high-quality programme support across our expanding portfolio.

Duties and responsibilities

We are recruiting for two Programme Coordinators who will carry out very similar duties but will each support a different area of the Suite.  The focus of each role will be either on the BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science, or the Joint Honours, Intercalated BSc and BPES programmes.  Post holders will, however, be expected to work flexibly across the suite as required.  Your application will be considered with both roles in mind, unless you express a preference to only be considered for one of them.

Reporting to one of our Programme Managers, you will provide excellent administrative support to guarantee the professional and smooth running of the programmes/modules within your remit, as well as any other bespoke courses/modules included within the suite.

Sharing our enthusiasm and ambition to deliver programmes of the highest quality, you will have proven experience of supporting a variety of stakeholders; of effectively managing a high-volume workload; and of responding flexibly to opportunities and challenges as they arise.  You will also have experience of organising and/or supporting events.

Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills are vital, as is a strong customer focus and exemplary attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong administration and IT skills and have an interest in the use of technology in education. You must be a team player with the proven ability to use your own initiative and work with minimal supervision. You will need to demonstrate a pro-active, positive attitude and the ability to juggle several tasks confidently. Previous experience of working in higher education and an interest in Business Education are highly desirable.

  • An honours degree / equivalent qualification or experience related to the work of this post

  • Experience of office administration, preferably within Higher Education

  • Experience of handling/managing large volumes of data competently and accurately

  • Experience/knowledge of working with a virtual learning environment

  • Reliable and responsible with excellent timekeeping

  • Good personal organisation and effective time management skills

  • Demonstrable ability to handle a high-volume workload with competing deadlines

  • Able to work independently and take initiative to deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive and strong team player

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
