The Digital Project Manager role sits within the Digital Team  of Imperial’s Communications Division. If successful, you will play a pivotal role in successfully managing projects to improve Imperial's key digital communications products, including the Imperial website. Working within a dynamic team environment and liaising with staff across Imperial and external agencies.

It is an exciting time to be working at Imperial, with the recent launch of our new institutional strategy  and brand . The Digital team are currently working to redesign the Imperial website , with an aim of launching the new website later this year. If successful, you will play a crucial part in project managing ongoing improvements to the Imperial website and wider digital products. 

The Digital Project Manager is responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets that outline the scope of work and resource requirements. You will track progress against milestones and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise to keep projects on track and within scope.

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will coordinate and oversee project management tasks related to the Imperial website and wider digital communications products. 
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including web developers, designers, content creators, and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
  • You will develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • You will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • General administrative support for the Digital team.

Essential requirements

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of project management or an understanding of the project-based approach to work.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication among team members, providing clear direction, feedback, and support to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage resources effectively, including allocating tasks, managing workloads, and resolving conflicts within the team.
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions without supervision, using judgement and discretion.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent standards of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
