About the Role
Safe disposal of nuclear waste is a pressing problem in modern society. QMUL scientists have partnered with several other UK Universities and nuclear agencies in India to assess the suitability of several silicate and phosphate based materials to be used as encapsulation matrices. This post is to join this consortium funded by the EPSRC and enable collaboration between all project partners.

The successful candidate will join the UK-India collaboration to make a significant contribution to the project with regard of modelling and predicting the performance of potential nuclear waste forms. This will involve performing and analysing molecular dynamics simulations.

An important element of the project is to liaise with our Imperial College and other UK partners as well as India partners with regard to obtained results and efficient exchange of the information flow between all projects in the course of the overall collaborative effort.
