The Role:

As a Paralegal (Compliance and Regulation) within our small but busy team, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our University’s adherence to data protection laws, managing responses to Freedom of Information requests, and enhancing overall data security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate responses to Freedom of Information requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements;

Stay updated on data protection laws and assist in policy development to ensure compliance;

Collaborate with a range of University stakeholders to implement and monitor data security measures;

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making;

Draft, review, and edit legal documents and agreements.

Qualifications & Experience:

A degree in law, or relevant legal qualification;

Experience in providing well-informed advice, engaging with stakeholders, and managing files;

Strong research and analytical skills;

Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
