About the role 

Staffordshire University is looking for a CRM Marketing Manager to join the Marketing, Communications and PR department. Working collaboratively across Marketing and Recruitment teams and the wider university, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement, maintenance and activity of the CRM Marketing System and operations.

You will be working across the full lifecycle of the recruitment audience – from initial enquiry, through to application, conversion and enrolment. You’ll also regularly undertake data analysis and evaluation to inform strategic decisions. With the CRM Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for the development of roadmaps and the delivery of multi-channel communication campaigns. 

Putting personalisation and automation at the heart of operations, you’ll help step-change the quality of our communications. This will involve understanding the requirements of internal and external audiences and driving forward digital transformation initiatives. 

You will need previous experience managing multi-channel CRM marketing campaigns, demonstrable skills in managing marketing automation, strong data analysis, interpretation and reporting skills, ability to lead in an experimental and data-driven digital marketing environment. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on the design, development, testing and implementation of solutions and enhancements to the CRM system to inform planning and day-to-day management of the CRM strategy and activity including developing CRM Roadmaps for the full Recruitment Cycle: Enquiry, Application, Conversion, Clearing and Enrolment.
  • Responsible for the delivery of multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, Calls, DM and app notifications) and thorough analysis of engagement and funnel metrics, recommending contact strategy and opportunity
  • Provide expertise and advice in the management, setup, maintenance, intelligence building and analysis of enquirer and offer-holder and student records
    Introduce new capabilities to our CRM and marketing automation toolkit for meeting audience needs, market trends and internal requirements.
  • Leading on digital transformation project workstreams to transform system usage, manage system development and business process improvements.
  • To work strategically with teams at all touchpoints across the funnel – including Education Liaison, Events, Marketing, Web, Admissions, International and Student Development Services - to maximise lead quality, deliver user-friendly and consistent communications and build a rounded view of prospective students.
  • Provide expertise and advice for information flows to, from and between data gathering/holding platforms and systems lead on business data compliance, keeping up to date with data and GDPR compliance
  • Refine campaign analysis, data quality and integrity, and evaluation to deliver easily accessible reporting to key stakeholders, supported with verbal updates.
