About the Role

The School is part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences which comprises eight academic Schools. HSS has combined research excellence - several disciplines judged to be amongst the best in the UK - with a strong commitment to growth, innovation and diversity. The Faculty offers degrees in a wide range of disciplines, from commercial law and politics to film studies and literature.

This post is part of the Professional Services Career Family at Queen Mary, which supports functions across multiple sites and provides the infrastructure and support for all our research, teaching and learning activities.

About You

To be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of marketing and communication channels for the School, including web, social media, email and printed marketing collateral. You will help effectively raise the School’s profile, provide expert communications advice, support student and staff recruitment activities and contribute to alumni development and other marketing and communications objectives.¿

To contribute to the overall School and Queen Mary market presence, in line with our objectives and vision, strengthening the School and QMUL brand and ensuring a consistent, first-rate user experience.

To work collaboratively with colleagues across the Directorate of Marketing and Communications and those in other academic departments across QMUL to share insights and develop joint initiatives.

Please note that whilst this Job Profile relates to the role of Marketing & Communications Officer for the School of Business and Management, based at Dept W and our Mile End campus, this is one of a number of similar roles within the Faculty and University. In order to facilitate lateral career development and meet organisational needs you may be assigned work in a different School on a temporary or permanent basis following consultation.
