We are looking for a skilled marketing and communications professional to join our new Product Team and enable us to expand our business partnering function. Our Marketing and Communications Business Partners play a key role in managing relationships between our academic subject specialists and our Marketing and Communications Department.

With responsibility for a defined set of subjects, our Business Partners will provide a high-quality and customer-orientated marketing, communications and student recruitment service. Working with stakeholders across the department and university, they will oversee a wide range of activity to maximise the recruitment potential of our courses.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will particularly suit those with prior experience in a relationship-focused role, such as agency account management or an operational marketing position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships across schools and faculties, and teams throughout the Marketing and Communications Department. 
  • Establish a good understanding of subject-, school- and faculty-level priorities, in order to implement effective plans and meet targets.
  • Monitor progress and achievement against key performance indicators and overall plans.
  • Support the organisation of recruitment-related events and activities, including Open Days and tasks associated with Clearing.
  • Work with colleagues in the Product Team to establish effective processes for maintaining and updating course and subject information across all platforms.
  • Collating and analysing data and writing reports, focused on both the external environment and internal activity.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders, providing advice and guidance as required.

Requirements

  • A degree, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a marketing and communications role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A self-managing work style with the ability to prioritise work and deliver to deadlines.
  • Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Specific experience of: delivering marketing and communications plans and activities; successful delivery against business targets; providing outstanding customer service.
