Overview

About the Department

IT Services is responsible for the provision of all IT-related services to the University.  The department develops new IT solutions in collaboration with colleagues from across the University, whilst also ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of existing solutions.

About the Role
The Learning Technology Officer post spans both educational and developmental support for staff and students using learning technologies.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide support, educational development opportunities and training for staff across the Institution interested or engaged in technology enhanced learning.
  • Promote, support and develop the effective use of QMUL’s technology enhanced learning, under the direction of their line manager
  • Support technology enhanced learning activities through e.g. e-support, multimedia learning content, web development.
  • Be a skilled user of learning technologies, and also able to communicate concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

About You
We are looking for an team member with advanced IT skills, a problem-solving nature, excellent presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A keen interest in education, some knowledge of learning technology and some experience in training or staff development would enhance your application.
