The School of Modern Languages and Cultures is a leading centre of teaching and research in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hispanic, Italian, Japanese and Russian Studies. The School also hosts the BA in Visual Arts and Film and is home to the Centre for Foreign Language Study, which offers non-specialist learners the opportunity to learn a range of languages from beginners to more advanced levels. Our community of academics, teachers and support staff aims to foster a world-class student experience in all its disciplines. The School and its departments figure regularly in the top five in national league tables such as the Good University Guide, the Complete University Guide and the Guardian University Guide.

The Learning and Teaching Administrator is a key member of the School’s administrative team. They are responsible for the provision of a professional, efficient administrative service, supporting a wide range of teaching, learning and assessment activities from the point of student enrolment through to graduation. The successful candidate will be required to work both independently and as part of the team to provide the best quality service to our students and staff, in accordance with University and Departmental policies and procedures.
