Internal Only - Hub Lead

Based within the Timetabling and Room Booking Service in Registry, you will co-ordinate the process of creating the school teaching timetable by providing advice, guidance and support across a distributed professional timetabling network. 

The post holder will manage the timely completion of schools teaching timetables and where necessary, bring concerns to the attention of the appropriate senior staff.

This is a full-time, open-ended post.

Salary: £27,511 - £31,866 per annum (Grade 5)

Essential Criteria

Qualifications and Education

  • Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent Professional membership/experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Substantial experience of managing the work of others
  • Experience of co-ordinating an annual production cycle across Colleges/Schools, and of providing specialist advice and guidance to internal and external customers
  • Specialist knowledge of using systems such as Syllabus Plus and knowledge of appropriate administrative systems and processes
  • Customer Service, Communication and Team Working
  • Ability to communicate detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people
  • Experience of dealing with performance and welfare issues
  • Evidence of ability to explore customers’ needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered
  • Planning, Analysis and Problem solving
  • Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identifying and proposing practical solutions and resolving problems with range of potential outcomes
  • Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within a specialist discipline
  • Evidence of ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work and that of others and monitoring progress

  • Postgraduate/Professional qualification
  • Experience of using or supporting student information management systems, timetabling software or HR systems in a Higher Education environment
  • Fluency in Welsh, written and oral
