Overview

About Role

As a member of the Estates and Facilities management team, this senior role will involve working directly with senior managers delivering operational guidance, planning and decision support to the entire hard services teams across the Queen Mary estate.

About You

The role requires experience in delivering a strategic-based building maintenance and facilities, being able to lead teams with direct line management of 4 Campus Maintenance Managers . capabilities to be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver a high standard service.

Experience in delivering statutory compliance and operating to the latest Health & Safety guidance and being responsible for the Health & Safety of sites and engineers under their direct control.

Experience in delivering Panned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

Experience in managing budget expenditure of revenue and capital items.

Experienced in developing, implementation and monitoring service level agreements, key performance indicators and provide monthly operational reports to senior management.

Be able to provide professional leadership for Hard Services teams, at an operational level and contribute to the strategic planning to meeting organisational objectives.

Experienced in HR related matters

About the Directorate 

The Estates and Facilities Directorate is responsible for planning, creating and operating the University’s Estate, Facilities, Capital Development and Commercial Services. The Estate needs to support the University’s standing as an ambitious and research-intensive Russell Group institution and contains a wide range of research, teaching and learning facilities in addition to student residences and recreational space.
