An exciting opportunity has arisen at Staffordshire University to join our Financial Services department as Management Accountant within the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and working closely with our Finance Business Partners, the key duties for this role are:
- Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, including monitoring and support of University External funded projects, with supporting analysis and commentary
- Effectively communicate with and challenge key stakeholders across the University
- Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for centrally managed portfolios
- Actively contribute to University wide, and Finance projects
- Continually review processes, identify and implement improvements
- Any ad hoc tasks as required
The successful applicant will be a pro-active self-starter, with a desire to learn and a keen eye for detail; have proven experience working within a finance environment and have advanced spreadsheet and systems skills.
