We are looking for an experienced executive support professional to serve as Executive Assistant to the Centre for Technomoral Futures (CTMF) Director. The Centre for Technomoral Futures sits within the Edinburgh Futures Institute; its mission is to unify technical and moral knowledge in new models of research, education, design and engagement that directly serve the goals of sustainable, just and ethical innovation. The Opportunity:

The Executive Assistant to the CTMF Director will provide full, high-level professional, confidential administrative support to Prof. Shannon Vallor, Director of the Centre for Technomoral Futures, ensuring her time is managed effectively so that she can focus on delivery of her strategic objectives and priorities. This will involve organising business, resolving issues independently, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, responding to enquiries and emails, and managing diaries, travel, agendas and other information necessary to support effective decision making and time management. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a high degree of personal initiative, judgement and confidence to work independently and efficiently.

  • Experience of managing busy diaries and email inboxes
  • High degree of attention to detail (particularly in booking meetings)
  • Experience of working independently and managing conflicting priorities
