The Role
Join Kingston University and help create unforgettable experiences. From welcoming future students at Open Days to celebrating success at Graduation, our events are at the heart of the student experience. We're looking for an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join our Student Lifecycle Events team and help deliver high-quality events that inform, inspire and celebrate.
As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse and exciting programme of events that support students throughout their journey with Kingston University, from inspiring prospective students at Open Days and Offer Holder Events through to celebrating achievements at Graduation ceremonies. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will help create memorable experiences that showcase the very best of the University and deliver an outstanding participant experience.
You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event delivery, including planning and logistics, stakeholder and supplier management, communications, and on-the-day operations. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work with colleagues across the University and contribute to events that have a meaningful impact on students, staff and visitors alike.
The Person
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with experience of coordinating events, projects, or similar activities in a busy environment. You will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives on managing multiple priorities, building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and delivering exceptional customer service.
You will have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team, you will be confident using your initiative and adapting to changing priorities when required.
Most importantly, you will bring energy, creativity and a continuous improvement mindset, alongside a genuine passion for creating engaging experiences and supporting the success of our students and visitors. Flexibility is essential, as some evening and weekend working will be required to support key events throughout the year.
Directorate/Function
The wider directorate’s key aim within the strategy is to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for all current and future students to ensure they are “sought after”, supporting their participation, attainment, and success before, during and after their time at Kingston. This in turn will create a culture of high performance that is inclusive, innovative, ambitious and enterprising.
