An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work in the Estates and Facilities Directorate at the University of Wolverhampton. You will be joining the Assets & Estates Management Team, responsible for the management and operation of all our buildings electrical requirements including HV & LV infrastructure, Building Management Systems (BMS) and our fire & security systems.

Your new role
You will take the lead on and provide professional expertise for all aspects of electrical engineering regarding the design, build and maintenance of electrical systems across the University estate portfolio. You will also be responsible for the end-to-end management of maintenance and service contracts, as well as contribute to the team’s long-term capital and maintenance plan, undertaking any electrical projects that arise from this.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need a degree in Building Services Engineering or a minimum Higher National Diploma (HND). You will also need Incorporated Engineer (IEng) / Chartered Engineer (CEng) status registered with the Engineering Council or be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services (MCIBSE) or Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET). Experience of working within a design consultancy and having knowledge and experience of different stages of projects from conception through to post-completion activities is essential.

You will be based at our City Campus (Wolverhampton) with a requirement to travel to our other campuses around the region (Walsall & Telford).
