Overview

The Faculty of Science and Engineering are looking to appoint a key member of our Degree Apprentice programmes team. This role will lead on the day to day administrative support, including quality assurance, module registration, co-ordinating e-learning provision and acting as Secretary to the Institute of Technology’s Education  Committee(s).

Queen Mary University of London was one of the first Higher Education Institutions in the UK to deliver a Degree Apprenticeship programme. We now provide programmes to a diverse range of employers including a number of leading international financial services firms and banks, global pharmaceutical firms, national retailers and IT/technology companies. Earlier this year we launched the London City Institute of Technology, a collaboration between Queen Mary University of London, Newham College and a wide range of employers.  It specialises in delivering higher technical education and apprenticeships with a focus on STEM subjects, such as engineering, digital and construction.

About you

Applicants for the position should have experience working in Higher Education in student administration, enjoy and excel in providing quality customer services and working constructively with others. Have experience in using large student databases and in working with/adding to virtual learning environments. You should have good problem solving skills and be able to analyse and interpret numerical and other data for this personally and to present this to others.

The post will work between the Mile End and City Island campuses in London. The role is full time, permanent appointment with an expected start date early this summer. The starting salary will be in the range of £35,774 - £42,020 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
