The Opportunity:

The Data and Geospatial Analyst is an important role in the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS). The role is being appointed to lead on the creation and delivery of data management for GIS databases, data reporting and data storage for the University’s Forests and Peatlands Programme. This will include designing and building spatial databases, storyboards and dashboards for operational, monitoring, survey and research data. The data is essential for operational compliance, health and safety and for maximising transparency, data usage and relevant research and income opportunities.

The role is full time, however part-time hours can be considered for outstanding candidates. 

Your Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • High levels of knowledge and experience of the geospatial arena, with in-depth knowledge of geospatial data and Geographic Information Technology.
  • In depth understanding and experience of Esri ArcGIS technology. 
  • Experience of working collaboratively, as part of cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
