We currently have a vacancy for a Clinical Practice Services Senior Projects Officer to join our Healthcare Advocacy Services Team.

To realise our long-term ambition to make myeloma history, we relentlessly pursue better outcomes for myeloma patients and patients with related conditions through a comprehensive early diagnosis programme, a unique research portfolio, our treatment access strategy, information and support services, and healthcare improvement services.

The Clinical Service Excellence Programme (CSEP) is a Myeloma UK best practice accreditation programme for myeloma centres, developed in partnership with patients, family members and healthcare professionals.  The role of Clinical Practice Services Senior Project Officer is to design, implement and evaluate a new CSEP strategy. The enhanced CSEP programme will work in close partnership with hospitals to support them in their role to achieve best practice in their care and support of myeloma patients and their families.

The role holder should be educated to degree level with experience in project and process administration and delivering pieces of work to time, budget and standards agreed.  You will require to have an understanding of accreditation processes or other quality systems and general health and cancer knowledge, as well as experience of writing reports and giving presentations to different audiences, evidence of building effective relationships to deliver objectives, preparing action plans, business cases and marketing materials.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels both internally and externally, including presentation skills and the ability to research topics and identify key information are essential for these roles. You will need to be able to manage your own workload and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as good IT skills and familiarity with short surveys and basic analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.

Previous experience of working with the NHS and/or with healthcare professionals to deliver projects, working in the charity sector, scientific or medical writing and working on cancer and/or myeloma-type projects would be an advantage for this role.

This role is a full-time, 3 year fixed term post which is currently home based, with hub-based office days, however we do consider flexibility on location.
