There is a new and exciting role to join the Data and Analytics team ! The post will support the drive and delivery of the Aston 2030 Strategy, by developing new data, analytics and business intelligence capabilities throughout the university. 

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and development of a new data and analytics products, from the gathering of requirements and development of use cases (user stories). Working with the team and our vendor ensure our data landscape is scalable, efficient not only for Power BI development but also to have the capabilities to build department specific data models to aid in self-service capabilities. 

As an expert in data modelling and data visualisation, you will demonstrate innovation in the development of new approaches for data visualisation dashboards to ensure each product is intuitive, scalable and available for mobile technologies as well as normal web delivery. 

You will be confident in training junior members of the team who are just embarking on their data career in data visualisation to encourage the democratisation of data and promote a data culture. 

The ideal candidate will be proficient in data management concepts to include; discovery, modelling, development, visualisation testing, training and support according to best practices.
