We are looking for an experienced gift administrator, finance or stewardship professional to join the Alumni Relations & Development (ARD) team in this new Senior Development Services Officer role. We champion the interests and potential of Aston’s 120,000+ alumni and lead the university’s fundraising as an Exempt Charity. We have recently expanded the Development Services function within ARD to include data quality, analysis and insight, prospect research, gift administration and stewardship processes. These essential areas will support excellent donor experience, ensure we work in the most efficient way and build the pipelines and capacity to meet the ambitious targets in the Aston 2030 strategy.
As our Senior Development Services Officer you will have scope to shape this new role while benefitting from being part of an established, supportive team. You will develop and deliver processes that support effective fundraising and stewardship, with proactive management of all aspects of gift administration. This includes working with the central Finance team, academic and project leads to ensure disbursement, making sure donors are thanked and kept informed of the impact of their support, and delivery of the annual scholarships awards project. As a member of the Development Services function, you will also lead key data projects and hold responsibility for data analysis and insight around team KPI performance.
You will bring expertise gained from relevant experience within fundraising operations, gift or finance administration or similar. We are looking for someone who can collaborate with colleagues across the University to give our generous supporters a great donor experience. You will also have an aptitude for problem-solving, with a curiosity and desire to solve root cause issues.
