Student Assistant at the Institute for Information Management

The Institute for Information Management is seeking a Student Assistant to support a data collection project. The project strives to investigate the association between voice and health status in a two-month longitudinal observational pilot study. Patients will collect speech samples at home using a mobile application installed on a tablet. After enrollment in the study, patients complete their first and last study visits with the assistance of study personnel.


Job description

Your task would be assistance with the study visit (around 1 hour), including introducing the study, the guidance of patients in the use of the device, and answering patients’ questions.


Your profile

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German, ideally you can speak and understand Swiss German.
  • Conversational and open personality.
  • Flexible to meet the schedule set by the hospital (3-4 hours per month on average).
  • Student at a Swiss university or university of applied sciences (ETH Zurich, EPFL, etc.)

Desirable

  • Desired starting date: mid-January or February, ideally you could work until this October.
  • Interest in data collection with patients.
  • Speaking French or Italian would be a PLUS.
