To reinforce its Dealing with the Past team, swisspeace is looking for a

Senior Program Officer Dealing with the Past (80-100%)
Starting date: 1 September 2022 (or by agreement)

The Dealing with the Past team supports governmental and non-governmental actors working to overcome the legacy of massive human rights violations and breaches of international humanitarian law having occurred in contexts of colonialism, armed conflict, and authoritarian regimes, and to prevent their reoccurrence. The team provides high-quality support to ongoing Dealing with the Past and Transitional Justice processes, gives advice, and provides capacity development to different actors. It offers trainings
and develops knowledge products based on critical reflections and lessons from Dealing with the Past processes. The team also conducts cutting-edge research aimed at influencing scholarly debates and informing peacebuilding practice.
