Current major initiatives of MaP are the MaP Doctoral School and ETH Sabbatical | CAS AMaP continuing education program. MaP is currently hiring a Project Manager & Administrative Expert to support its executive office as the central coordination hub, starting from April 1 or upon agreement.

Job description

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to realise events and communication measures within the multifaceted MaP portfolio, including, for instance, symposia, workshops, academic courses and lectures. Our future colleague is keen on applying creative and innovative approaches to support community building and multi-stakeholder collaboration across a broad range of themes of relevance for Materials and Processes. With a flair for communication and marketing matters, our new team member is excited about and committed to strengthening and expanding MaP’s internal and external communication.

Your profile

You have an academic background in any of the disciplines covered in MaP and/or bring along relevant work experience in events and communication while being knowledgeable and interested in the broad area of Materials and Processes. Given the requirement to work across disciplines, sectors and cultures, you must have excellent social and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work in a motivated, responsible, resourceful and resilient manner. Strong practical project management skills are essential, from conceptualisation to planning and effective implementation, along with financial management, evaluation and reporting. Ideally, you have already gained some hands-on experience in outreach, communication, and marketing campaigns and should have previously organised activities/events in an academic environment. Fluency in English and German is required.

We offer

We offer a dynamic work environment with a high degree of freedom of design in project implementation and a lot of opportunities for an individual with commensurate qualifications, a can-do attitude, and a proactive and creative mindset, to further her/his professional goals.
