The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a
Professorship of Oral Biology
The Professorship will be located at the Institute of Oral Biology (IOB) which is part of the Center for Dental Medicine. The IOB is dedicated to innovative research related to the development, physiology and pathology of structures of the oral cavity and has in these fields a unique position in Switzerland.
The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in one or more areas of Oral Biology. She or he will hold a PhD (or equivalent qualification), with or without a Dental or a Medical degree. As the successful candidate is expected to take over the management of the IOB, experience in leading of a research unit is desireable. She or he will also have experience in teaching in the relevant areas (which are not limited to dental medicine) as well as in supervising PhD students. An internationally recognized research track record and successful acquisition of third-party funding is expected.
