The School of Life Sciences at EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in life science engineering. Appointments will be at the tenure track assistant professor level. We seek exceptional individuals who will develop and lead a research program at the forefront of the discipline and who will also be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.

Approaches include, but are not limited to: synthetic biology, systems biology, computational biology, cellular and tissue engineering, biomaterials, functional genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Thematic links to research topics at the Institutes of the School of Life Sciences (e.g. cancer, infection, immunology, metabolism, neuroscience, neurorehabilitation) are encouraged.

The candidate will teach in the Life Sciences Engineering curriculum, thus the ability of the candidate to teach STEM subjects and/or bioengineering topics will be a key selection criterion.
