The Chair of Labour Economics, Prof. Conny Wunsch, at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel (Switzerland) invites applications for a full-time predoctoral position in labour economics.
Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of the project.
  • Conduct literature reviews, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Prepare research findings for publication in leading academic journals.


Your position
The successful candidate will support the project “The Swiss Labour Market in the Digital Transformation (SWISSLAB)” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation within the NRP77 under the supervision of Prof. Conny Wunsch. The candidate will help analyze data from various survey and field experiments that have been conducted as part of the project. The position provides opportunities for aspiring economists to gain research experience and develop their skills in a stimulating and supportive environment.


Your profile

  • A bachelor's or, preferably, a master's degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Stata.
  • Sufficient knowledge of German to be able to cope with data that has been collected in German.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
