Introduction
The Chemokines in Immunity laboratory at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB, Bellinzona, Switzerland) is recruiting a highly motived postdoctoral fellow to join the team, under the supervision of Dr. Valentina Cecchinato. The candidate will contribute to gaining insights into the development and evolution of natural autoantibodies targeting the chemokine system upon HIV-1 infection, as well as understanding the biological relevance of this phenomenon for the disease.

Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Expertise in immunological techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell culture.
- Strong background in HIV/AIDS research and previous experience on in-vivo models of infectious diseases are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
Funding and Duration
The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Preferred starting date is September 2024. The position is for 24 months (possible extension to 48 months).
