Internship Strategic Foresight Hub


The Strategic Foresight Hub (SFH) based in the Office of the President at ETH Zurich is a strategy- and foresight-dedicated team that supports the ETH community with methods, consulting, space, guidance and tools to facilitate future-focused explorations of all kinds. The SFH team believes in the importance of engaging a wide range of stakeholders in a creative and non-​partisan manner to facilitate new, refreshing perspectives concerning future developments of relevance. Project background

The SFH team is looking for two hands-on interns to complement its current team. This role offers the interested candidates the opportunity to join a very small team with very much to accomplish as it works on a wide range of foresight projects. The initial internship will last 3 months with a possibility of extension (up to max. 6 months). The starting date is to be agreed upon with the candidates but, ideally, the candidates would be able to join the foresight team at the beginning of June 2024. 


Job description
  • You will support the Head of the Strategic Foresight Hub across a wide range of foresight-related activities.
  • You will contribute to foresight-related research and product development. 
  • You are involved in the organization and preparation of foresight events at ETH Zurich.

Your profile

The successful candidates have:  

  • at least a bachelor’s degree (or are close to its completion),
  • interest in the field of foresight,
  • strong analytical skills,
  • experience carrying out research, synthesizing complex information and driving projects forward,
  • proactive and collaborative personality with a “can do” attitude,
  • preferably fluency/proficiency in both English and German.
