Project background

We are looking for a passionate and engaging candidate to support the ETH Al Center's Entrepreneurship team in the build up of local and international entrepreneurship programs and the support of ETH AI Center affiliated startups to shape the future of Al from research to society.

Job description

• Managing and running new entrepreneurial programs at the ETH AI Center to grow the ETH AI Center affiliated startup community. E.g.: Drive “AI Innovation Alliance” initiative, Pan-European Incubator for AI start-ups/projects coming out of universities skills in startup selection, acceleration program setup and startup portfolio management. 
• Leverage existing entrepreneurial resources within (or close to) ETH AI Center, such as Talent Kick, AIpreneurs, existing ETH AI Center Affiliated startups
• Building local and international network and creating strong partnerships to grow affiliated startup community and strengthen entrepreneurial offers and mobility of entrepreneurial talents at the ETH AI Center and in Europe as a whole
  • With ETH-internal stakeholders, external stakeholders within the Zurich startup ecosystem (Startup Hubs, Builders, Accelerators, etc.) and international startup ecosystems 
• Local and international scouting and selection of top entrepreneurial talents
• Collaboration and communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders incl. leading researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry players, and professors

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with: 

• Relevant experience in a startup or the startup ecosystem, ideally in successfully running and building entrepreneurial programs including the management and coordination of a growing portfolio of startup companies 
• Relevant experience in multi stakeholder management and setting up new partnerships
• Ability and motivation to set-up and manage projects independently
• A passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and interest in artificial intelligence. Open-mindedness and drive to proactively identify and create new opportunities
• Great organizational talent and great communicator – face-to-face, written and on social media, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on leadership style with a solution-oriented can-do mindset
