Administrative Assistant at the Laboratory for Solid State Physics

Updated: about 2 months ago
Job Type: Permanent

50%, Zurich, permanent

The Spin Physics Group led by Prof. Christian Degen and Dr. Alexander Eichler has active research activities in quantum sensing and nanomechanics. We pioneer novel magnetic imaging techniques that can sensitively detect magnetic effects with nanometer spatial resolution. We use these tools to gain new capabilities and enable discoveries in quantum science, condensed matter physics, spintronics, and magnetic resonance.

In the Hybrid Quantum Systems Group led by Prof. Yiwen Chu, we are developing new ways to connect different types of quantum objects together and transduce quantum information between microwave circuits, sound, light, and spins. We are exploring interesting physical phenomena that can arise when these very different systems interact. By combining their unique properties, we can also build more powerful hybrid quantum technologies.
