Your mission :
EPFL coordinates the SKA Project on behalf of the Swiss academic community. The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a large multi radio telescope that is currently being built in two site (Australia and South Africa). This is an ambitious scientific project that would allow our astrophysicists to understand our galaxy in a whole new level of precision.
Within the project, your role would be to support the daily operation, financial management and perform general administrative tasks for SKACH – the SKA Switzerland Consortium.


Main duties and responsibilities include :
  • Strong assistance with funds managements and financial reporting (salaries, budget forecast, invoices and credit card expenses), purchases, inventory, asset tracking and reports;
  • Organization of SKACH Board and various meetings and seminars, with the taking of the minutes
  • Work with EPFL Legal to administer legal agreements with SKACH partners
  • Work with EPFL HR for SKACH hiring and onboarding processes
  • Electronic file organization and configuration management
  • Arrange travel and associated admin tasks of the group and visitors

Your profile :
  • Capable of taking on multiple responsibilities, solid experience in bookkeeping and expertise in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Dynamic, efficient, open, and proactive, with an exceptional sense of responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, and capable of working autonomously while ensuring successful teamwork
  • English and French, additional languages are a plus
  • Prior experience with complex projects or international collaboration are a plus
