Your mission :
The Bio/CMOS Interfaces (BCI) Laboratory is one of the worldwide leader labs in the field of design and fabrication of biosensors-on-chip and bio-interfaces, with target on DNA and protein based arrays. Based in Neuchâtel, Prof Sandro Carrara is looking for an administrative assistant to support the lab in various administrative and financial tasks.
Main duties and responsibilities include :
- Accounting management (e.g., account follow-up, budget forecasting, financial reporting) of the lab’s funds
- Interface with HR on Staff administration (e.g., HR follow-up, visas, employment contracts, welcoming new joiners etc.)
- Student assistants (hiring paperwork, monthly entry of hours for payment)
- Organization of conferences, seminars and travel of collaborators
- Expenses and credit card management and follow-up
- Provision of general support and logistics to the lab
Your profile :
- Full proficiency in both French and English is mandatory (both written and spoken)
- Service-minded, good sense of organization, rigorous and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of internal tools, systems and processes
- At ease with funds management
- Computer proficiency with a very good command of excel/word/mail
- Ability to interact with all levels of faculty, staff and students
- Proven ability to interact in a multicultural environment
- A previous experience as an administrative assistant at EPFL, ideally in a Lab
- Commercial background or education (CFC de Commerce or equivalent)
