The lab being one of the leading Parkinson Disease research groups with a focus on translational neuropharmacology combines biochemical, histological, pharmacological, molecular biology and behavioral techniques. Your mission

The research groups focus spans from translational neuropharmacology, studying early PD non-motor symptoms, to clinical trials and biomarker identification. We explore receptor dynamics, investigate progressive Parkinsonism, and engage in pre-clinical mechanistic studies - all with the aim of developing disease-modifying treatments and understanding diverse neurobiological aspects of PD. 

The responsibilities of this candidate in the lab are as follows:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of pre-clinical biochemical experiments studying Receptor dynamics
  • Assist in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, cell culture, advanced imaging, cell signaling
  • Routine laboratory work e.g. DNA extraction, WesternBlot etc.
  • Work with human or animal tissue samples
  • Interact with PhD students, postdocs and researchers in the lab

Your profile

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in neuroscience and biology
  • Has prior experience in molecular biology techniques
  • Has strong organizational and communication skills
  • Has ability to learn new methodologies/techniques
  • Is familiar with statistical software and data analysis is necessary
  • Has strong knowledge in english, knowledge in other languages is advantageous

It is meritorious if the candidate has previous experience with studies in GPCR pharmacology.
