The Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) carries out research and offers education with the aim to promote the practical implementation of research findings and newly acquired knowledge in the field of public health and healthcare. The department has two university-wide areas of activity - pedagogical development and support, as well as research, education and counseling in the field of healthcare and research ethics. It is an exciting work environment where research and education are in focus. 

We are now looking for a full-time Project coordinator who can take part and coordinate our suicide preventive activities with special focus on the development of evidence-based guidelines, coordination and administration of externally funded projects and activities related to the WHO Collaborating Centre on Suicide Prevention.


Your mission

You will be working at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP) as part of an international team that is focused on research in the field of mental health and suicide prevention. As Project coordinator in the field of suicide prevention, you will:

  • Collaborate in several of our research projects, which involve the design, evaluation and implementation of mental health promotion and suicide preventive interventions.
  • Take coordination responsibility in specific projects which include coordination of field work, design of evaluation studies, data collection and analysis.
  • Continuously and extensively screen and review the current evidence on suicide prevention, including extraction of relevant data.
  • Draft evidence based recommendations for suicide prevention with special focus on public health interventions.
  • Manage the dissemination of guidelines through our external communication channels.

Your profile

We are looking for those who have:

  • Master in Psychology or Public Health.
  • Documented competence and training in statistics and data management.
  • Documented experience and training in conducting systematic literature reviews.
  • Experience in work and research within suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
  • Experience in writing grant application for international funding bodies.
  • Excellent language skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Extensive experience of writing scientific text in English.

It is an advantage if you have the following skills:

  • Extensive knowledge about suicide preventive interventions from the public health perspective.
  • Experience with different software packages and solutions for reference search, screening and management.
  • Previous working experience with extracting data from scientific papers, summarizing the evidence and formulating evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience in working on research projects including the administration of EU funded projects.
  • Advanced skills with software packages for quantitative statistics.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish.
