We offer an opportunity to make science more trustworthy and valuable by testing interventions to improve reproducibility. We seek a highly motivated postdoctor for a two year fully funded position. You will be working in an international research environment where you can contribute to research of the highest quality.   

Your mission

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be working within the Horizon Europe-funded project iRISE (Improving Reproducibility In SciencE) under the guidance of Dr. Gustav Nilsonne at Karolinska Institutet. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners from i.a. The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.

Your primary goal is to evaluate interventions to improve reproducibility of quantitative research on humans and beyond. Specifically, you will:

  • Test interventions to improve reproducibility using randomized controlled trials in research settings
  • Manage and analyse research data
  • Write research publications and take part in dissemination activities, such as conferences and workshops.
  • Contribute to general management of the project and research group
  • Apply for additional funding for research activities

The research environment is highly collaborative and you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of related projects.

Your profile

This project requires strong skills in quantitative methods and experience in statistical programming, mainly in R. The project uses open science practices as far as possible, thus, a proven track record of open and reproducible science is meritorious. Strong communication abilities, including proficiency in English, and project management skills are valued. We also attach great importance to personal suitability. 

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
