Description of the Research Group
TheClinicalUrothelialCancerResearchGroup(focusingonbladdercancer,renalpelviscancer,andureteralcancer)conductsresearchaimedatimprovingprognosticassessmentthroughtheuseofbiomarkersandothermethodsforpredictingandmonitoringtreatmentresponse.ThegroupisledbyProfessorandSeniorConsultantFredrikLiedberg.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
In the role of Assistant Researcher, you will perform laboratory work (including cell culture in model systems) and conduct bioinformatics analyses. Responsibilities also include the preparation of scientific manuscripts, the submission of abstracts, and participation in relevant scientific conferences. You may also be involved in the supervision of students.

Qualifications
Thefollowingqualificationsarerequiredfortheposition:

• APhDdegree.
• Extensiveknowledgeofthemolecularsubtypingofbladdercancer.
• Documentedexperienceinnext-generationsequencing(NGS)analysis.
• Extensiveexperienceoflaboratoryworkusingbladdercancermodels.
• DocumentedproficiencyinspokenandwrittenEnglish.

Thepositionrequiresstrongcollaborativeskills,asolution-orientedapproach,andtheabilitytoworkindependentlyandtakeinitiative.

Considerationwillalsobegiventohowtheapplicant'sexperienceandexpertisearedeemedtocomplementandstrengthenongoingresearchwithintheresearchgroups,aswellascontributetotheirfuturedevelopment.
