Description of the workplace

The Division of Clinical Genetics, Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, conducts research in cancer genetics and new targeted treatments for cancer. The division comprises nine research groups with a total of about 60 employees and with a lot of collaboration in a cohesive research environment. In the research group, we use large-scale sequencing, molecular genetic and cytogenetic techniques, and functional models of somatic genetic changes to understand how childhood leukaemia arises and develops. Our long-term goal is to use the in-depth knowledge of leukemia biology to find new treatment markers and new possible targets for targeted treatment.
