Academic Qualifications: Ph.D. (preferably in the life sciences or health sciences


Specific Requirements

At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in:

  • Knowledge of microscopy and the operation of various types of equipment from different manufacturers, including epifluorescence and confocal microscopes.
  • Analysis of microscopy images, including specialized software for quantification and image analysis.

  • Preparation of various types of fixed samples, in vivo samples, cell cultures, and tissues.

    Technical experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Previous experience in super-resolution microscopy
  • Previous experience in the acquisition and analysis of in vivo fluorescence images

  • Experience in advising on experimental design and in managing and/or supporting research platforms related to microscopy.

    Technical knowledge:

  • Courses in microscopy and/or image analysis.
  • Use of advanced analysis tools based on artificial intelligence

 

  • Teaching experience is a plus, especially in advising undergraduate theses, master’s theses, or doctoral dissertations; this is particularly valuable if the work involved the application of microscopy techniques.
  • Experience securing competitive funding throughout one’s research career—both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral—is a plus.
