THE ANDALUSIAN PUBLIC FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH OF MALAGA IN BIOMEDICINE AND HEALTH (FIMABIS) NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: SUPPORT TECHNICIAN TO COLLABORATE IN A RESEARCH PROJECT.

Project/Line: Precision pharmacogenomics applied to immunotherapy treatment in lung and head and neck cancer.

IBIMA Group: CIMO-02. TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH IN CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY.

Principal investigator: Javier Oliver Martos-Antonio Rueda Domínguez

Location: IBIMA/Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital (Medical and Health Research Center).

Functions to be developed :

  • Performing the extraction and quantification of nucleic acids.
  • Preparation of massively parallel sequencing libraries.
  • Analysis and dissemination of results.

Minimum requirements :

  • Graduated in Biomedicine.
  • Master's Degree in Biomedicine or Translational Research and Personalized Medicine.

Valuable Requirements :

-Certified work experience in laboratory techniques: Cell cultures, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR electrophoresis, PCR, DNA, RNA and protein extraction, cloning, editing with CRISPR-Cas9, Single Cell, Western-blot, Flow cytometry ( 1 point per quarter up to 3 points)

-Participation in scientific research projects. Dissemination of results at conferences and scientific journals (1 point for communication at a conference and 3 for publication in an indexed journal, up to 4 points)

Contract details :

  • Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities (art 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011).
  • Location:  IBIMA/Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital (Medical and Health Research Center)
  • Gross annual remuneration:  €19,261
  • Day: full (35h)
  • Estimated duration: Until 12/31/2025. The contract is linked to the duration of the project / activity / financing.

Selection process :

-Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.

-After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate resigns from the contract, the hiring table may decide to resolve in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
