Recruitment related to the project "ECOFROST_B - Tecnoloxías de refrixeración ecolóxicas baseadas en materiais barocalóricos con emisións neutras de carbono e en economía circular de CO2" developed under the "Programa Ignicia Prueba de Concepto 2023" (Ref: 001_IN855A_2023) coordinated by the principal investigator Juan Manuel Bermúdez García.

DETAILS OF THE CALL

a) Tasks to be performed.

The tasks to be performed by the beneficiary of this contract will be as follows:

1) Design and development of pressurisation unit for a cooling prototype based on solid state barocaloric materials.

2) Design and development of heat exchangers for a refrigeration prototype based on solid state barocaloric materials.

3) Integration of pressurisation unit and heat exchangers in a solid state barocaloric refrigeration prototype.

4) Support in the integration of the barocaloric materials in the prototype developed in this project.

5) Support in taking and interpreting data from the prototype under working conditions.

(b) Duration of the contract.

Indefinite contract (the tasks of this contract are expected to end on 31/01/2025).

(c) Justification of the duration of the contract.

The ECOFROST_B project is subject to release of funds for the achievement of milestones, so that the current budget covers the activities to be carried out until 31/01/2025. In case of successful achievement of the milestones proposed in the project, there would be the possibility to extend this contract until 31/12/2025

Engineer, or Bachelor equivalent to the Spanish Licenciatura and/or Grado.

Eligibility criteria

Selection and evaluation criteria.

- Academic qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, in Energy Engineering, or in Marine Technologies = 15 points. Other degrees = 0 points.

- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, in Energy Engineering or in Marine Engineering = 10 points. Other degrees = 0 points.

- Experience in the research and/or technical field related to energy and, in particular, to the study of thermal energy storage, heating and/or cooling devices = 10 points/year. Maximum 20 points.

- Experience in the manufacture, assembly, use and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, electronic and sensors = 10 points/year. Maximum 20 points.

- Experience in the use of fluid simulation and heat transfer software = 5 points/year. Maximum 10 points.

- Personal interview = 25 points.

e) Conditions of vacancy and waiting list:

- The post may be considered vacant if there are no candidates with a minimum score of 60 points.

- A waiting list of candidates with a minimum score of 60 points who have not been selected for the post will be created and will be ranked in order of the points obtained.
