Offer Description
La Fundación de Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario de la Princesa, is announcing a position for a Higher Degree holder for the role of Research Assistant for the Neuropharmacology Research Unit at the Hospital Universitario de Santa Cristina, under the direction of Dr. Francisco Javier Egea Máiquez.
Regarding the main tasks to be performed:
- Cell culture techniques.
- Handling of experimental animals.
- Histological and immunohistochemical techniques.
- Isolation and analysis of proteins: Western blot and immunohistochemistry.
- Isolation and analysis of RNA: qPCR.
- Flow cytometry.
- Interpretation and statistical analysis of results.
In relation to the contract, the selected person will be employed full-time; and the duration of this contract is temporary, in accordance with the provisions of Additional Provision 5º of RD-Law 32/2021 of Contracting within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan and European Union funds linked to the research project "Characterization of intercellular communication between the components of the neurovascular unit and the immune system to protect the blood-brain barrier (ExoStroke)" (CNS2023-145023).
This contract will be subsidized by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS
•Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, histology/immunohistochemistry, and handlingof cell lines.
•Knowledge of biostatistics and bioinformatics tools.
•Previous experience of having worked in SCReN or in positions of monitor and/or manager ofClinical Trials.
OTHERS
•Scientific publications and presentation of scientific works at conferences.
•Previous experience in animal models of cerebral ischemia and/or trauma.
•Previous experience in extracellular vesicles.
•Knowledge of the biology of the central nervous system.
•Training in this area.
•Medium-high English linguistic competence.

Eligibility criteria
Scale: The evaluation criteria for this offer are as follows, up to a maximum of 15 points.
- Knowledge of the biology of the central nervous system: up to 2 points.
- Previous experience in animal models of cerebral ischemia and/or trauma: up to 2 points.
- Previous experience in extracellular vesicles: up to 2 points.
- Scientific publications and presentation of works at congresses: up to 1 point.
- Training related to the offered position: up to 1 point.
- English linguistic competence: B2 (1 point) and C1 or higher (2 points).
- Personal interview: up to 5 points.
Selection process
Applications that meet the degree requirement and are within the deadline of the call will be examined by a jury composed of three members (a president and two members).
A curricular evaluation will be carried out on the received candidacies, where a score will be assigned to the candidates evaluating the merits they present according to the requirements requested for the position.
Subsequently, candidates may be called for a personal interview.
