AIMEN is a multi-sector Innovation and Technology Centre that develops R&D&I activities and provides technological services to the industry in the fields of Materials, Advanced Manufacturing processes, Digitalization, and sustainability.

Main cutíes:

Be part of the Environmental R&D team, the functions to be carried out will be:

• Management of R+D+i projects in the field of environmental engineering applied to urban or industrial wastewater treatment.
• Definition of work plan, management of work team (internal and with external collaborators), analysis of results, control of expenses, preparation of technical and follow-up reports reporting directly to the Head of the unit.
• Performance and continuous update on the state of the art of different bioprocesses.
• Scientific dissemination of results and attendance to conferences, meetings and other scientific events.
• Collaboration in the preparation of national and European proposals (reports, search for partners, technical planning of the proposal).
• Collaboration in the definition of strategy and needs of the Environmental Unit.

 

Education:

• Degree Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering or other similar technical qualifications.
• Master in Chemistry.

Job specific skills:

• Provide 5 years of working experience track record in design and operation of NBS and treatment wetlands; as well as in design, operation and maintenance of pilot plants for physical-chemical wastewater treatments (urban) to remove emerging pollutants or resource recovery from industrial effluents (e.g.: recovery of solutes such as metals, salts or critical raw materials from industrial effluents/waste, advanced oxidation processes to remove PFAS/emerging pollutants, membrane treatments,...).
• Knowledge of the different R+D+i calls (National and European) mainly in the Horizon Europe Program.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and work in multidisciplinary teams.
• High level of English: C1
• Driving license and private vehicle.
• Availability to travel frequently.

 

Desirable qualifications and skills:

• Highly recommended PhD on the field of urban/industrial wastewater treatment.
• PhD thesis or papers in the field
• Elaboration of proposals for European/National R+D calls.
• Expertise in managing European/national projects
• Knowledge of other environmental technologies for application in water or waste treatment/Analysis of emerging pollutants
• Interest in knowing in depth different sectors and industrial processes.
