Offer Description

JOB DESCRIPTION within the project “UL for a sustainable society – ULTRA”, co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU (pilot project Digital Engineering: Basic Competences for Green Technologies – Work Package: Micro-evidence system):

  • Designing and updating curricula and adapting higher professional education programs according to requirements,
  • Organising or co-organising all activities for the implementation of the course in accordance with the curriculum and the findings of the profession, and the coordination of work and supervision over the work of other course providers (assistants, technical and other collaborators),
  • Lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities for a subject, 
  • Conducting, assessing, and correcting examination tasks and tests,
  • Mentoring students in the preparation of diploma theses and other works,
  • Participation in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field of profession (nostrification, etc.),
  • Scientific research, study, and development of concepts, theories, and methods,
  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment for the workers and students of a unit, ensures appropriate education and training of persons who come into contact with dangerous substances, as well as the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures,
  • Performing other tasks that belong to the broader professional field of the workplace.

 Detailed description of the work within the project NOO ULTRA: Digital engineering: basic competences for green technologies - content areas for preparation and implementation of micro-evidence:  

  • laser light and its properties, the principle of operation of lasers,
  • safe work with lasers,
  • construction of lasers,
  • laser beams of light, manipulation of the laser beam,
  • CAD and networking for use in computational fluid dynamics and mechanical analysis,
  • machine learning methods for processing medical images and data,
  • concepts of statistics and their application,
  • functional programming,
  • advanced work with spreadsheets.

    THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA WILL BE USED WHEN SELECTING A CANDIDATE: 

  • demonstrated experience and interest to perform management and organizational tasks for non-study and study work processes;
  • top scientific research work in the field of physic or mathematics;
  • demonstrated ability to obtain and manage national or international research grants;
  • quality of pedagogical and mentoring work at all levels of study.
