Job Description

Job Purpose

As part of Centre for Healthcare Simulation (CHS), you will provide support for recruitment and training, administrative tasks including data management, implementing and coordinating sessions in undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing and Medical education at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies as well as the Faculties of Dentistry and Pharmacy that require Standardised Patients (SPs). You will work closely with the team to integrate SPs into all other settings, including hybrid simulation and interprofessional education.

Job Responsibilities

1. Recruitment of SP’s for teaching and examination sessions

  • Work closely with program leads and SP educators in recruiting SPs for teaching and assessment sessions with on-site support for training days and actual teaching and assessment days (inclusive of printing or materials, provision of moulage, etc.).
  • Liaise with faculty for SP sessions and secure training venues for teaching and assessment sessions.

2. Events and Courses 

  • Organize and coordinate regular recruitment exercises, courses and events for SPs to prepare them for various teaching and assessment activities (inclusive of printing materials, liaising with different stake holders etc.) 
  • Organize and coordinate courses for Faculty and different stake holders.

3. Data Management and Tracking

  • Collate data and maintain the SP database to ensure accurate tracking of SP details and remuneration. 
  • To support remuneration process for all SP assignments.

4. Research

  • Provide fieldwork support to Program Director for SP-related research projects

5. Support and Ad-hoc

  • Communicate with SPs and different stakeholders regarding details of upcoming events.
  • Provide support to any other Simulation Centre teaching activities and events
  • Any other ad hoc duty assigned by Reporting Manager  

Qualifications
  • A diploma in a related field 
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possesses strong coordination skills
  • Interest in data management and scheduling software development
  • Willingness to learn new things and take on new responsibilities
  • Willing to work on weekends when required
  • Proficient in MS Office, basic graphic design software e.g. Canva and online meeting platforms e.g. MS Teams, Zoom
